A Stock Requisition is a request for a part to be added to a job. This can be used if a part is out of stock at the time the job is created or if the process of stock allocation is to be carried out by a stock/warehouse manager and not the person creating the job. It can also be used if the stock does not need to be allocated to the job immediately. A Commitment is an item on a purchase order which will go into the warehouse which is to be added to a job at a later date. A requisition becomes a commitment when it is placed on a Purchase Order. | A Stock Requisition is a request for a part to be added to a job.
