Q: We want to manage inventory but do not use part numbers. When adding a part to a job it asks for a part number. How can I add parts by description?
A: When adding a part to a job, press the ? button to the right of the part number. The parts search screen will be displayed. Select the Description sort order and you can then search by description. Each time you now return to parts search, it will remember that you like to search by description and set this sort order automatically.
