Customising Field Labels

Incident Description

Rename a field label in TSM to something more meaningful. For example, this is commonly used to rename the Other and Other2 fields on the Job logging tab of a standard Job Card to something else.

Note: The General Setup option “Do not load customized field label text” needs to be off.

Resolution

1. Hold down Ctrl and Right Click with the mouse on the title you wish to change.

2. Put the cursor in the New Label column against the fields you are changing.

3. Type in the custom field label.

4. Click the “Exit” button.

Note: These changes will carry over to the field filtering options on the Report modules – Job Card Reports, Debtor Reports etc, where these same labels are used.
