Restore a deleted a Job
Incident Description
A job in TSM has been deleted and need to be restored.
Resolution
Un-deleting a job in TSM requires the use of the Recall command line function.
Note: You need to know the exact job number of the job to be undeleted in order to restore it. Note also that un-deleting the job, recalls all parts, labour, equipment and any other associated records – some of these may have been deleted off the job prior to the time the job itself was deleted. You will need to check the job and delete them again.
1. In TSM click “Help” → “About TSM” then click the ”Program Information” tab.
2. Make a note of the “Program File Directory”.
3. Click the Start menu and select run.
4. In the run dialogue enter the full program directory taken from the program information page.
5. After this directory add a backslash followed “tsm.exe”
Note: If the location of the TSM directory contains a space, you will need to place quotes around the program location. Otherwise quotes are not required. See screenshot above.
6. Add a space then “recall”
7. Add another space then the job number of the job card you wish to undelete.
8. Press Enter.
9. TSM will start and display a dialogue confirming the job has been recalled.
Note: To recall a stage of a contact job use the “recalls” command followed by the job number a space, then stage number.
