Documents tab

TSM has the ability to link multiple documents to a Job Card. These documents can be launched and viewed at any time. Documents that may be linked include Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, faxes and any other type of document you wish.

The Documents tab will change colour to Blue whenever any documents are linked.

The Linked Documents tab will change colour to Red whenever any documents are linked. Any linked documents are automatically attached to any Job Card created for this contact.

  • Click to add a new document to the Jobcard.
  • Removes the selected link from the Jobcard .
  • Opens a selected linked document.
  • Press to copy the selected file to another Jobcard.
  • Click to view the folder the document is stored in using Windows Explorer.
  • Prints the document using the default 'Print' command specified for the file extension in Windows.
  • Opens the Scanning module.
Type

Indicates how the file became linked to the Job. “J” indicates when a document is manually added. “C” indicates the document was linked from the customer record, “P” comes from the Product record when added as equipment, and “X” indicates an automatically generated linked document (i.e. quote or invoice).

Document Location & Name

Indicates the name and path of the linked document. In a network environment, ensure that this document name points to shared directory that is publicly available to all users. For example, the directory is mapped as the “T Drive” on every computer. You may also drag and drop documents in this field to attach them to the job.

Document Description

Displays the documents content description.

Signature File Location

Displays the location of the customer’s signature.

Signed By

Displays the name of the person in which the attached signature belongs to.
