Build Assemblies Screen

To create an assembly the product needs to have the Kit Type dropdown set to Assembly on the Groups tab. To build the assembly open the Build Assembly screen from the button on the groups tab or Action Menu→ Products→ Build Assemblies, and follow these steps:

  1. Specify a quantity in a location
  2. Click the check availability button
  3. Click build to create all assemblies which display a status of OK.
Product ID

If the build assemblies screen was opened from the Products Menu and not a product card, this column will list the Product IDs of all assemblies which exist in TSM.

Location/Name

Lists all locations which exist in TSM.

On Hand

Displays the current amount in stock of the assembly for each location.

Reorder Point

The point at which the assembly needs to be reordered.

Quantity

The amount of assembly items to create in each location.

Status

After clicking the check availability button this column will display 'Status OK' for locations where the quantity of required parts which make up the assembly exist in sufficient number. If there is not enough stock currently onhand the message 'Insufficient stock to build assembly' will be displayed.

Buttons

This button will replace the quantities column with the reorder point plus the reorder quantity for each location.

Once you have set quantities, click this button to have TSM check the locations for the availability of the parts required to build the assembly. The result will be displayed in the status column for each location. If any locations have insufficient amounts onhand then TSM will display a popup asking if you want to display a report of these items.

For any locations which have an 'insuficient' status clicking this button will automatically create a purchase order for the required parts.

This will print a list of all products which go into the assembly for all locations which have a status of OK.

Clicking build will create the assemblies for all locations where the status is OK, changing the status to 'processed'.
