Enter Stocktake

TSM provides a convenient way of bulk entering stock take information directly into TSM.

Selecting Enter Stock Take from the Product Menu on the TSM Action menu will display the Enter StockTake screen. Each stock item in the TSM product database will appear as en entry in the Stock Take List.

Additionally, if you have multi-location inventory control enabled, you will see each item repeated for each product location you have configured in TSM.

You will see for each item in the Stock Take list the current on-hand quantity. The Yellow Stock Count column allows you to enter the count for each item displayed. The Stock Count column can have 3 types of values:

At any time, you can press the toggle button on any row to toggle the Stock count between -1 and the On-Hand quantity.

If you wish to assign all items the current on-hand quantity, press the button.

You can press to reload the entries at any time, discarding any Stock Counts entered.

When you are confident that the stock counts are all entered correctly, press the button. This will change the On-Hand quantity to the Stock Count quantity for all items where the stock count is not -1 or equal to the on hand quantity. An audit trail of all changes is also made for the Inventory Transfers report.

Hint: TSM can also import stock counts via the Parts Import module in cases where such information is available electronically.
