Requisitions/Commitments

Requisitions/Commitments

Requisitions Module Screen

A Stock Requisition is a request for a part to be added to a job. This can be used if a part is out of stock at the time the job is created or if the process of stock allocation is to be carried out by a stock/warehouse manager and not the person creating the job. It can also be used if the stock does not need to be allocated to the job immediately. A Commitment is an item on a purchase order which will go into the warehouse which is to be added to a job at a later date. A requisition becomes a commitment when it is placed on a Purchase Order.

The Stock Requisition screen allows the allocation of requested and committed stock to jobs.

When adding a quantity of a part on the Job Parts Used screen, for which there is insufficient stock, the user will be offered to create a requisition for it. If they select yes and then save the part, a confirmation will appear.

A job card that has requisitions entered for it will have the button displayed in red. Clicking this button will bring up the requisitions screen for this job.

At the top of the screen there are some filtering options for the grid below. The buttons below allow reporting and processing of stock requisitions on display.

Type

The type of requisitions to display.

  • Both - Display both requisitions and commitments
  • Requisitions - Display requisitions only

Which Parts

This filters the grid by the stock availability status of the items.

  • All - Display all items.
  • Onhand > 0 - Display items a quantity of which is in stock. This options is meaningless for Commitments as Committed stock implicitly has already been received in, but is not a part of the on-hand figure. It is meant for use on a job.
  • Available Stock - Display items with available (not yet committed) onhand stock.
  • Serialised Inventry - Display items which are Serialised.
